Guatemala, Central America, lives many situations of injustice, inequality and lack of welfare. As part of all Latin Americans, we want the tool Theatre of the Oppressed, so effective to transform reality, to spread and reach the communities most in need. So we want to hold this meeting in Guatemala. For many people, groups, communities in Central America that can transform their realities if they know this tool. And many people, groups and communities that can enrich and strengthen the exchange involving the Latin American meeting. We have a tool for transformation and urges us to share!
We are few days apart of the event and we're missing $ 15.000 to make this meeting possible. We've raised more than half of what we need, but we still miss this amount! There are already more than 500 Latin American people who want to be protagonists, learn and multiply in their countries. 30 rural communities (and indigenous majority) who want to receive the free workshops and training that the meeting provides. The $ 15.000 assure us transport to reach all communities with workshops and cover the living expenses of all participants. We need your help because if we want to change things, no one can be excluded for lack of money!

Who are we?
We are people wanting to change things, first of all. We are artists, educators, comunicators, activists and dreamers. We are a group that believes in growing seeds and concrete actions to promote transformation.

METOCA is part of the Asociación Payasos, an organization that has over 10 years working in Guatemala and the region with vulnerable populations in human rights issues, HIV and sexuality through art space (www.proyectopayaso.org).

Which Latin American countries are participating in the meeting?
Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
Can I support it with money living outside of Brazil?
